Michael Figari | Filmmaker
Michael Figari is an filmmaker with a passion for making brash sincere films highlighting the dichotomy of humor and emotional frailty in the human race. Michael graduated with honors from the USC School of Cinematic Arts where he was awarded the Jack Oakie Scholarship for Cinematic Achievement. Michael assisted famed feature film director Renny Harlin. Michael worked as both Writer’s Assistant and Executive Assistant for major TV series including Burn Notice and White Collar. His web series, “Bros”, was sold into distribution with Koldcast TV in 2010. His short films have been selected by numerous film festivals including the Imperial Beach Film Festival, the Nosotros Film Festival, and the Hollyshorts Film Festival. Michael also volunteers his talents as an official filmmaker for Athentikos, an arts therapy NPO that works to empower children in orphanages throughout Guatemala.
